Matt Ward's Round the World Trip 2005-2006

Matt completed his round the world trip on the 30th June 2006 @ 6pm. The trip lasted a total of 367 Days and covered a distance of more than 44,000 miles around the world.

 

Visited Countries ----> Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii and USA, Mexico, and Canada.

On the 29th June 2005 I left the UK to embark on a backpacking trip round the world. I quit my job, moved out of my accommodation, sold my car and left my friends and family behind in order to set foot travelling round the world for 1 year. This trip had been a dream of mine for a few years but finally it had become reality. I set off (on my own with a backpack) out into the world to experience many new cultures and lifestyles, discover new lands, meet new people and participate in some damn crazy activities! This part of my site is solely dedicated to my round the world trip. On this part of my site you can find my travel-logs of my trip, they will tell you about the experiences I had, where I visited and the people that I had met along the way. There are also sections for each country and in these sections you will find some of the photos I took. You can use the travel-log and the maps to follow my trip progress round the world.
