Q. Why have you set-up this page?

A. Recently I have been talking to Larayne Reeman about the good old days at Neville Lovett. Her and I both thought it would be a good idea to try and set up a school reunion sometime in the future. In order to do this though we would need some way of being able to contact everybody, so I suggested creating this webpage so we could collect contact email addresses.

 

Q. What will you do with my email address?

A. Your email address will be stored in a secure database on a part of the webserver that is not accessible from the internet. Your email address is safe, it will not be sold or distributed to anyone, neither will it be displayed without your consent on any part of this website. It WILL be displayed however, if you specifically ask for it to be by clicking the checkbox labelled "Display my email" located next to the email box on the webform. If you don't check this box it is assumed that you would like your address to be kept strictly confidential.

 

Q. I want to contact someone, where can I find their email address?

A. Email addresses can be seen in the status bar located at the bottom left hand corner of your browser when you hover over the icon next to the name of the desired person - just remove the mailto: and you can see the address. They are only available if the person submitting has agreed for it to be shown. Email's will only be displayed for those people who have selected the "Display my email" option when submitting their webforms. You can also click on the icon to launch Outlook or your default mail program.

 

Q. I already have a profile on Friends Reunited, why do I need this?

A. Well firstly we are trying to organise a reunion and to do this through F.R would cost everyone a subscription fee. In order to contact someone through their website both the person sending the email and the person receiving it has to pay the £7 subscription. On this page I am offering you a free opportunity to share your emails/homepages with other people from our year.

 

Q. I don't have an email address, what should I do?

A.You don't have an email? Where have you been it's 2007! If you don't have an email but you would like to be contacted in the event of a reunion, then please type "No email" into the email box and enter your contact details into the comments box. A phone number is the preferred option.

 

Q. What happens if I submit a personal homepage link?

A. If a personal homepage link is included when submitting the webform it will later be made available for others to visit. Your name in the table will automatically turn into a link to your personal homepage. If you have personal profiles on other sites such as MSN Spaces, MySpace profiles, Faceparty etc you should add one of them here.

 

Q. When will the reunion take place?

A. When the time arises that we have obtained sufficient email addresses to warrant arranging a school reunion! One of us, either myself or Larayne will get in contact with you. Remember the quicker we get addresses the sooner we can get the reunion organised. It will take a while for people to find this page and for everyone to enter their details, so be very patient.

 

Q. What can I do to help?

A. Actually you can do quite a bit to help. Firstly and most importantly you can get in contact with anyone that you still see from our year and get them to visit this webpage so that they can add their details to the database. You can also link directly to this page from your own MSN Space, MySpace, Blog or even on your own website by simply copying and pasting the following code into your webpage.
